“Focus on Forestry Careers” was designed to generate interest in high school students to pursue a career in forestry and also to provide interns for the Forestry Education Youth Initiative program.  The “Focus on Forestry Careers” presentation was created by Cori Klassen, Boreal Educator for the Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation and the Lesser Slave Forest Education Society.

The presentation consists of two parts: a hands-on demonstration of some of the equipment used by some forestry workers in the field and a power point presentation.  The presentation and demonstration is very dynamic and is aimed at generating interest for careers in forestry to a high school audience.
